Once that extensive training is completed, a surgeon must then pass a comprehensive written and oral exam. Beyond training and testing, the surgeon must also provide the board with documented cases that have been completed since training ended. A surgeon who is board certified through the ABPS has the credentials, expertise, and knowledge to handle your case correctly from the moment you arrive in their practice.
