What implants do you use and where are they inserted?

Our physicians utilize silicone gel or saline (water filled) implants and place them either under the breast tissue or under the chest (pectoralis) muscle.

Where are the incisions made?

Silicone gel implants when used for breast augmentation are placed through an incision underneath the breast, in the natural crease. Saline filled implants  may be placed in a smaller incision either under the breast or around the nipple.

What will my recovery time be?

Recovery from breast augmentation varies depending on placement of the implant.  If the implant is placed under the breast tissue, you will experience discomfort for 3 - 5 days and will resume normal activity in 2-3 weeks. If the implant is placed under the muscle, you will have discomfort for 5-7 days and resume normal activity in 3-4 weeks. You may be required to wear an ace wrap for 5-7 days.
